Very easy to install, fill, and use! We get to watch birds up close and then learn what kind it is. We received it in May which is the perfect time of year to watch all the birds in our area. Perfect for all ages!
We received one of these as a gift. It worked wonderfully. We really enjoyed watching close-up videos of the birds feeding. Unfortunately, after about three months, the battery stopped recharging. I looked online for possible causes, and it suggested unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in. When I checked the device, I found that the power cord was cut. I contacted the VicoHome Support Team (at [****]) and explained the situation. They replied within 24 hours and asked for a photo. I sent it to them. Their response was that it appeared that an animal had chewed through the cable. They told me that they don‘t sell replacement cables, so they would send me a new device at no cost to me. Can't beat that kind of service. Yilia, the support team member, was most helpful in resolving my problem, dealing with the issue efficiently and professionally.
The battery stopped charging outside
Took a bit of effort to set up the app (you HAVE to create an account to use it). But the motion detection works well and the Wi-Fi reception is very good (it is set up outside about 40 feet from the house). The app can be set to notify you when it detects motion so you can check what tripped it. Set it up in the afternoon and had birds on it the next morning. Also picked up what looked like it might have been an opossum checking it out during the night (but the night vision only showed an outline).
The cloud version of the app is free for 30 days and provides suspected identification but is usually way off. After the 30 days you have to pay for the subscription but if you don‘t need the subscription if you have a TF (micro SD) card in the camera for storage and you don't need the iffy bird identification.
The box came with descriptors instructions feels very sturdy and easy to assemble. Holds a nice amount of food and so far camera quality is lovely. Gives you options for pole, for tree or wall anchors. Very fine details I recommend
